Ashley Outfall Replacement

Matthews Design Group (MDG) engineered a complete replacement of the roadway crossing on Sixteen Mile Creek near Flagler Estates Road and Water Control District. This existing crossing consisted of 11 deteriorating 30-inch corrugated metal pipes in danger of failure. Replacement design specified five 72-inch reinforced concrete pipes and another three 72-inch pipes to direct water flow from the Ashley Canal. Project design included armoring the channel banks to prevent erosion.
