Matthews | DCCM is seeking a Practice Lead, Senior Transportation Project Manager to join its collaborative team in Jacksonville, Tallahassee, Tampa, Orlando, Fort Lauderdale, Miami or West Palm Beach, FL. This individual will serve a key function in growing and supporting a traffic/transportation practice dedicated to serving private or public sector developers, corporations, and institutional clients on their real estate development projects. In this role, you will be responsible for managing an office as well as driving revenue associated with the growth and establishment of a newly formed Transportation practice. This position will be supported by the DCCM National Transportation Business Line Leader and over 200 transportation professionals and 800 industry related professionals within the DCCM Family of Companies.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering; Master’s degree a plus
- 12 years of progressive experience in transportation planning or design
- PE (Florida or the ability to obtain through reciprocity within 6 months)

Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the profitable growth of the Florida transportation practice, including business development and revenue generation, client contact, oversight of office operation, cash management and overhead.
- Works closely with the DCCM National Transportation Business Line Leader and Texas Transportation Business Line Leader to develop annual strategic plans.
- Responsible for marketing the firm’s services, acquiring and signing contracts, and serving as the firm’s responsible contact with specific clients.
- Ensures the achievement of short and long-term goals for operations, workforce planning, financial performance and growth.
- Directs all activities of the Florida transportation practice including budgets, sales, cash management and overhead management.
- Acts as Practice Builder to provide leadership in planning, directing and implementing an aggressive marketing/business plan to leverage existing relationships and develop new relationships to procure additional work.
- Participates in the identification and pursuit of new clients, learns to develop additional work within an existing project and attends business development meetings with new and existing clients.
- Manages/expands existing client relationships and pursues new client relationships.
- Effectively organizes, writes and edits draft proposals, reports and other documents.
- Builds a strong and effective team based upon the principles of leadership and empowerment.
- Attracts experienced staff members, who bring client relationships, strong technical credentials, and a solid reputation.
- Coordinates and works with staff to determine the feasibility of projects based on the analysis of preliminary data, and to prepare and modify reports, specifications, plans, and design for projects.

Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM
- Flexible scheduling available
Supplemental Pay:
