Beachside High School
St. Augustine, florida
MDG provided professional engineering associated with the design and permitting services for the proposed new high school, athletic facilities, parking, infrastructure, and stormwater management facilities.
This new high school, located off of Beachwalk Blvd. in St. Johns, FL, helps to relieve overcrowding at other local schools in northwest St. Johns County while servicing new residential development in the surrounding area. With a capacity of over 2,000 students, Beachside High School opened for the 2022- 2023 school year.
The campus includes a new high school, recreation facilities, student and faculty parking, onsite stormwater management, and a sanitary sewer lift station. Scope of work included conceptual site plan depicting the location of buildings, parking, and stormwater management areas based on the architectural sketch, environmental services, engineering designs and construction plan preparation showing limits of land clearing and tree removal, demolition, site grading and earthwork, stormwater drainage systems, paving, water and sewer utilities, SWPPP, S&PM, and MOT plans. Permits were obtained through USACE, JEA, FDOT, FDEP, SJRWMD, including St. Johns County School District review. Construction administration was also provided.
