Matthews | DCCM completed the engineering design and permitting for the remodel and renovation of the former Florida East Coast Railroad headquarters along Highway US 1 in St. Augustine, Florida. The property comprises three 16,000 SF buildings that Flagler College acquired and renovated into college dormitories and offices. Our team contracted to update the water and sewer utilities to the building, as well as provide additional capacity to the water supply system to accommodate a fire suppression and sprinkler system in the structures. We were also responsible for rerouting stormwater drainage to the dry retention pond at the property’s western edge.

The project included a five-story parking garage of 36,987 SF with 558 parking spaces. Scope of services included conceptual site planning, construction plan preparation, and permitting services. Construction plan elements included site, paving, grading and drainage plans, utility design plans, and an SWPPP. Scope of work included permitting with jurisdictional agencies.
