Masters Drive Drainage
St. Augustine, florida

Matthews | DCCM provided engineering services to identify drainage problem areas along approximately 4,000 feet of Masters Drive. Based on hydraulic analyses, this assessment resulted in installation of stormwater collection and conveyance infrastructure, roadway improvements to incorporate curb and gutter replacement, minor roadway elevation changes to alleviate drainage concerns, and replacement of 8,000 feet of 10-inch waterline under sections of roadway. Our team provided design services for installation of additional stormwater collection and conveyance infrastructure. The project area abuts sensitive saltwater marshes that created design and construction challenges.
The needed improvements, model-verified as adequate for current and foreseen future uses, reduced roadway flooding on this major thoroughfare serving residences and businesses.
As part of this project, we obtained survey and underground utility locations from partner sub-consultants.
