Matthews | DCCM is providing the professional concept planning, master planning, engineering, and landscape architectural services for the Vilano Beach Park located at Vilano Road at the Vilano Beach Oceanfront Park.

The Vilano Beach Park will include a 1,680 sf pavilion to be used for small concerts, educational opportunities and other community events and programming. The pavilion is planned to have concrete seat walls and an innovative green wall to enclose the seating area. Plans also include changing stations (approximately 390 sf), a recreational area which is planned for an iconic lighthouse playground equipment piece, and a corn-hole area. Minor improvements include restriping the parking area to better accommodate ADA accessibility, addition of a mobimat for beach access along the north boundary, and replacement of dune walkovers, one of which includes an ADA-compliant turnaround viewing area. Updates to educational signage are also proposed.
